JUNE 2018 PRAYER LETTER

Dear Operation Liberia Prayer & Ministry Partners,

I can't believe that 5 months has passed and I am 2 weeks from going back to the states for 2 months.  If you recall, when I initially came to the field, I was only at 87% of my support.  I booked my time in Liberia based on that, planning on an extended survey trip, and then returning for additional meetings.  I have had very mixed emotions as it feels as though I am just starting to settle in, but I have decided that the Lord would have me return as scheduled.

April 2015 Prayer Letter

Dear Prayer & Ministry Partners,

Where is 2015 going?  This first quarter has flown by as I know it has for so many!  It has been a quarter of emotional and spiritual highs and lows but thanks be to God for the strength and grace to carry on towards the mark!

The Lord has blessed me with meetings, two Missions Conferences, two Jubilees and a Bible Conference already this year.  I am thankful for the opportunity to share my testimony and my heart for the people of Liberia.

October 2014 Prayer Letter

Dear Prayer & Ministry Partners,

Let me start by once again thanking you for your support in my ministry!  I am praising the Lord as I begin this letter by announcing that I have just reached 27% of my support. God has been faithful in adding churches and families to those who desire to see our Lord's great commission fulfilled in Liberia, West Africa!

It has been a busy fall.  One of the highlights was presenting my ministry at Manhattan Baptist Church in Manhattan, KS where I was saved 22 years ago!

June/July 2014 Prayer Letter

Dear Partners in Ministry,
I have been contemplating my June/July prayer letter for the last couple of days, knowing that it needed to be done.  I have been thinking about sharing with you the blessing of being with family and loved ones, the belated wedding reception of my son, Kyle and his beautiful wife, Liz, the pleasure of meeting her family, the birthday celebrations of my granddaughters and the surprise announcement that my daughter Danielle and her husband are blessing me with my third grandchild next March.

May 2014 Prayer Letter

Dear  Partners in Ministry,

An entire year has passed and I am now on to my second “official” year in ministry!  God has surely blessed and stretched my faith in the last year and I look forward with great anticipation to the year ahead!  I have kept a very busy schedule since my return from Liberia the end of March, praise God!  I have traveled throughout Georgia and Alabama, up into Virginia and I am currently in the Midwest.  I have had several families and an additional church take me on for support for which I am so grateful and truly humbled.

April 2014 Prayer Letter

Dear Partners in Ministry,
Thanks to your prayers and support, I am pleased to announce a very fruitful and successful trip to Monrovia in March!  If there is one thing I have learned is that my expectations rarely match up to God’s plans but that His plans are better than anything I ever expect!

It was amazing to be back on African soil again.  My heart jumped when I saw it from the plane and again when we touched down!  At the orphanage, the children threw themselves into my arms and I could not believe that it had been an entire year since I had been there!

January 2014 - Prayer Letter

Happy New Year! I greet you all with great anticipation for my upcoming short-term trip back to Monrovia in March 2014. My ministry partners at True Faith Missions will sponsor these trips every spring so please consid-er coming in the future! I travelled up to Olar, SC for a planning meeting and was so blessed and encouraged by everything the Lord has been doing through True Faith Missions (TFM) in just one short year! Pastor Hal Nichols spent 3 months in Monrovia, meeting, training and hiring church and school staff, organizing needed renovations and conducting Bible conferences.

Prayer Letter - October/November 2013

Merry Christmas to all my ministry partners!  Where has this year gone?  I surrendered to Africa in February 2012 and I am quickly approaching the 2 year anniversary of that date!  I had hoped and prayed I would be leaving for Africa by now, but God has his own timeline that is not my timeline and he continues to prove that I am better off just waiting for his leading and timing.

I began a fairly steady stream of scheduled meetings starting the first of November while I was in Kansas City for a wedding.

Prayer Letter - August/September 2013

I pray you are all enjoying the much cooler weather as fall is in full swing and pumpkins and mums are springing up everywhere!  I must admit I will miss the fall season!

God continues to stretch and teach me much about trusting in Him and Him alone in my Pre-field Ministry.  He was proved himself faithful, even anticipating and meeting needs before I knew I had them.  I know this is a time to learn and trust because if I can not fully rely on Him here, how can I learn to rely on Him in Africa!
